Vice President- Assists the president, as assigned, with league business and stands in the place of president during any absences.

 

Secretary- Maintains records and facilitates correspondence for the league. Also records and provides minutes of the meetings to the members of the Little League board.

 

Player Agent- Facilitates try-outs, the draft, player trades, and all matters related to the players of Venice Little League, including eligibility during regular and tournament season.

 

Rookies Coordinator- Provides information and support to the coaches in the Rookies division. 

 

Marketing Director- Facilitates spreading information regarding the local little league and ways to continue to grow the local league in the community.

 

Sponsorship Director: Works with local businesses to gain financial support for the league through sponsorships and facilitates uniforms for those sponsors. 

 

Of these positions, Vice President, Player Agent, and Rookies Coordinator and required by Little League International for a local league to continue. If you are interested in joining our board in any of these positions, please contact our league President Rodney Ring at 941-525-3833. Board members are expected to attend board meetings, once per month, and volunteer their time in the concession stand and during league wide activities such as tryouts and registration. In the last few seasons, we have continued to see our league grow with over 200 players each season. It takes many people to make Venice Little League successful and we hope to have you join the team that is working toward the goal of having a successful, growing Venice Little League with the players at the heart of our motivation.
